Decent Neighbourhoods - Townhill Park Phase Two Improvements Works – MacArthur Crescent and Vanguard Road
Description
Southampton City Council invites applications from suitably experienced contractors who wish to tender for one contract:
(1) The works comprise of
Improvements Works and associated landscaping consisting of block paving, footpaths reinstatements, new car parks, street furniture, ground works and associated buried utility services, fencing, bin stores, drainage and soft landscaping
All construction information is to be provided by Capita Property and Infrastructure.
MacArthur Crescent and Vanguard Road are estates managed by Southampton City Council.
Both sites are housing estates comprising of a total number of 7 and respectively 3 Blocks of Flats and a network of footpaths and roads with residential car parks, play areas, all set within a considerable amount of amenity green space. The estates are in a critical state of disrepair and in need for an upgrade to all landscape infrastructure.

Deadlines for submission of prequalification questionnaires are to be by Thursday 26th February 2015. Time 12:00.
It is anticipated that tender docs will be issued as follows
(1) Townhill Park Phase Two Improvements Works at MacArthur Crescent and Vanguard Road, Townhill Park, Southampton - Tender Documents will be issue end of March 2015 with a commencement on site early July 2015. The expected duration of the contract is 40 weeks.

It is anticipated that tender docs will be issued to a minimum of three and maximum of eight tenderers will be invited to tender for the works.

Whilst every effort has been made to consider the full scope of the requirement the Contracting Authority does not guarantee the volume of goods/service/works required resulting from this tender or that it will accept any tender on completion of the tender exercise.

A performance bond, and/or parent company guarantee in the case of a subsidiary company, may be required. Financing condition and payment arrangements and/or reference to the relevant provisions regulating to them will be indicated in the Tender documents. The criteria for selecting the candidates will be as set out in the Prequalification Questionnaire. Award of tender will be the most economically advantageous tender received, the criteria for selection of which will be indicated in the tender documents.

The contracting authority undertake to use reasonable endeavours to hold confidential any information provided in the proposal submitted, subject to the contracting authority's obligations under law, including the Freedom of Information Act 2000. If the applicant considers that any of the information submitted in the proposal should not be disclosed because of its sensitivity then this should be stated with the reason for considering it sensitive. The contracting authority will then consider the sensitivity statement before replying to any request received under the Freedom of Information Act 2000. Tender documents or notice of non-acceptance, as appropriate will be issued to all applicants.
